How long does Invisalign take to work?

Everyone is different with regards to the length of time it takes to achieve the desired results with Invisalign. On average, treatment time for adults is about 12 to 15 months; for teens and young adults, the length of treatment is comparable to that of traditional braces.

Invisalign is an almost invisible progressive orthodontic system that was developed to straighten your teeth without using traditional braces. Dr. Mojahed will develop a treatment plan that shows us how your teeth will move during treatment. Based on his findings, a series of customized aligners are designed to gently nudge your teeth into proper alignment.

When your aligners are ready, we will have you return to our office and give you instructions to wear each set for about two weeks. Each time you move to the next set of aligners, you will notice that they are a bit snug and gradually become more comfortable as the days go by; this means that your teeth are responding and gradually moving into the desired position.

Having your teeth straightened with Invisalign in Allentown, PA is a big decision, and at Evolve Dental Care we’re here to help. Please call our office to arrange a convenient visit for a consultation. At that time, Dr. Mojahed will be happy to explain Invisalign treatment and help you decide if it’s the right approach for you.
